Dr. Chad Green

Dr. Green is originally from Guin, Alabama. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1989, obtaining a B.S. in Natural Science and Mathematics. He attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, obtaining his O.D. in 1992. He served as an Optometrist in the U.S. Army as the Chief, EENT Clinic, Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey, until 1994. He remained in the U.S. Army Reserves until 2000.

Meredith Green

Meredith Green is VisualEyes office administrator.  She is responsible for managing the overall business aspects of our practice.  She provides leadership in developing, planning, and implementing our practice's mission and strategic vision.  She specializes in making you feel right at home and forget you are at the doctors office.  She has worked for Dr. Green for twelve years.  Outside of the office she enjoys traveling and spend time with her family.  She attends Church of the Highlands where her passion is leading small groups.

 

Dr. Phillips is a native of Gilbertown, Alabama. She studied accounting at the University of Southern Mississippi and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry where she obtained her Doctor of Optometry and Master of Business Administration degrees in 2019. She was the first to complete the dual degree program offered by UAB—the first of its kind in the nation, obtaining both the OD and MBA simultaneously. Dr. Phillips went on to complete residency training at the Tuscaloosa Veterans Affairs Medical Center with a focus on ocular diseases including diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Alabama Optometric Association. She resides in Tuscaloosa.

Nikki is our multi-talented optician and has over five years of optical experience. Her expertise includes educating patients on selecting appropriate eyewear and lens options to enhance their look and lifestyle. She is very knowledgeable in different lens materials and if she doesn’t know the answer she will find it out for you. In her free time, Nikki enjoys traveling, decorating and eating sushi. She is married to her husband Brian and they share a love for their dachshund, Roscoe.

 

Lena, a Tuscaloosa native, moved back in the Spring of 2020 and is thrilled to be part of the Visual Eyes family! She studied Psychology and Early Childhood Education at Kennessaw State University. She says the thing that drew her to Visual Eyes the most was the people she now works with, and their ability and intentionality in connecting with people and making them feel truly cared for. In her free time, she likes to snuggle in a cozy blanket with a good tv show and a cup of chai tea, and spend quality time with her husband, Zach, and children, Eliza and Levi.

Lindsey comes to VisualEyes with over 6 years of optometric experience. As the technician, she performs the pretesting for your routine exam, as well as the special testing for any eye problems or diseases. Lindsey has extensive knowledge of eye diseases and problems, as well as contact lenses. Lindsey has been married for 14 years to her husband Tim. When Lindsey is not at work you will find her at the ballpark watching her sons Camden and Grayson playing baseball or at the lake.
