Comprehensive Eye Exams
Routine eye exams are important — regardless of your age or your physical health.
During a comprehensive eye exam, Dr. Green does much more than just determine your prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses. He will also check your eyes for common eye diseases, assess how your eyes work together as a team and evaluate your eyes as an indicator of your overall health.
Dr. Green is often the first professional to detect chronic systemic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
Contact Lens Exams
Many people think that contact lens wear will be difficult or involve discomfort, but that is no longer true. Let us show you how to succeed with contact lenses. We have lenses that you can throw away daily for about 50 cents a day to lenses you can keep on for a month with no daily maintenance or removal. We also have lenses for bifocal wearers and people with astigmatism. We also fit speciality contact lenses for eyes that have been distorted from eye diseases like Keratoconus, Pellucid Marginal Degeneration, or failed LASIK surgery and rehabilitative Scleral lenses for corneal transplant patients.
Pediatric Eye Exams
Even if no eye or vision problems are apparent, the American Optometric Association recommends scheduling your baby’s first eye assessment between 6 and 12 months. At this examination we test for excessive or unequal amounts of nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism. We also check for eye movement ability or eye health problems.
Children should be seen before age one, again at age three, and beginning at age five, should see an eye doctor each year to be checked for amblyopia (lazy eye), color vision, and binocular vision—in addition to having their basic eye health assessed.

Disease Prevention, Detection & Treatment
Dr. Green has personally performed pre and post-operative care on thousands of patients with eye-related diseases. Not only can he determine if you need further healthcare, but he can recommend the perfect lens implant to suit your lifestyle and budget. There are several lens implant options that can give you independence from glasses. Dr. Green has referral relationships with many area eye surgeons to care for your eye-related surgery needs.
Myopia Control
Although a cure for myopia or nearsightedness has not been discovered, there are now a number of treatments that can slow its progression. If a treatment protocol is started at a young age, high levels of myopia may be prevented. Not only can this lessen the need for thick, heavy glasses, but lower levels of myopia also have significant health benefits. High myopia is strongly correlated with cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal detachments.
Currently there are four types of treatment available: atropine eye drops, multifocal soft contact lenses, Ortho-K or Corneal Reshaping Therapy, and multifocal eyeglasses.
